Birthday Policy

While Walnut Creek is excited to be apart of your child's birthday celebration, there are some guidelines we ask you to follow.

  • Birthday visits may only occur during your child's lunch time on the allowed days.
    • K-2: Mondays and Wednesdays
    • 3-5: Tuesdays and Thursdays
    • We are not accepting visitors on Fridays
  • Parents and visitors may not visit the classroom for any reason.
     
  • Party Decorations such as balloons, streamers, party hats, and similar items are not permitted.
     
  • Goodie bags are not permitted.
     
  • Due to increasing concerns with food allergies and dietary restrictions, parents may not bring in outside food items such as cupcakes, ice cream, pizza, wings or other food items for your child's whole class.
     
  • You may not bring party sized meals for your child's lunch (i.e. whole pizzas, seafood boils, etc.) You may bring a single serve, outside meal for you and your child. Example: A meal from Chick-fil-a or McDonalds
     
  • To allow you an opportunity to celebrate with a treat, you may send in ice cream money for the entire class. Ice cream is $1.00 a piece. Please contact your child's teacher to determine how many students are in their class.
