Ms. Twyla Wright

Grades
K, 2nd, 4th

I am happy to be starting my 18th year of school counseling! I worked as a school counselor in DeKalb County for 8 years before transitioning to Henry County. I earned my Bachelor's in Psychology (2004) and my Master's in School Counseling (2007) at the University of West Georgia. Recently, I earned my Specialist in School Counseling from Valdosta State University (2024).
My favorite thing about being a school counselor is working with students in all grade levels. Caring Counselors have two major responsibilities; to make sure students are safe and to protect their social and emotional well-being. When I am not being a Caring Counselor I enjoy reading, exercising, working on jigsaw puzzles, and spending time with my family. I also enjoy cheering on my favorite teams, Atlanta United and the Braves!
